CARS LAND

Here's a quick recap in iphone snaps!
I quit trying to instagram these pics while I was there, cause Disneyland is always a dead zone for uploads. You gotta find the right corners of the park to get instagram to load, and even then it runs your battery to the ground. SO. Here it is! And man, those Cars are rockstars driving around their new land. The boys were in Cars Land heaven. Which by the way is huge. Way bigger than I expected. They made sure to have lots of road room so those Cars can drive through the crowds. There was a 2 hour wait minimum for the new rides (3 hours for the racers!). So we took a break for dinner at the wharf, a ride on Toy Story, caught a bit of the Pixar parade, and took Ewan to Tower of Terror - never to ride, just to watch the doors open at the top to see the people lift their hands and scream as they plummet. The ultimate fun in his eyes.

This was also part of an extended Father's Day, celebrating the daddy we love!
Theeeen, back to Cars Land to see it lit up at dusk!
With everyone else in the entire park. weeee!

It was busy. Kinda crazy busy. But I love that. I have a love of crowds and being where the action is at. But that makes one of us. We'll try back again when the crowds die down. But big, huge thumbs up Cars Land! You're kind of amazing.

father's day

Since Jeff's dad is in florida, we spent the day with my dad in Old Towne Orange. We ate pizza. drank beer. watched golf. passed out presents. shared carmel apples. took lots of pictures. took up way too much space in the restaurant. and embarassed the heck out of ourselves on the street corner.

After church in the morning and lunch in the afternoon, we made it home just in time for everyone to sleep through dinner. We were stuffed from pizza and apples so it worked out perfect.

Hope everyone had a happy weekend celebrating their dads and baby daddys! :)

the complete package

It was so cute to see all the dad's this morning at church looking extra happy. Proudly pushing strollers and chasing their little ones. My Jeff was looking extra cute with his boys for sure. I love seeing the three of them together, the way Ewan and Graham act different with their daddy than with me. Jeff is the complete-package parent. He's compassionate and strong. smart and goofy. quiet and loud. teacher and friend. patient and understanding. nurturing and a rough-houser. He makes fun messes and brings home treats. He's the better cooker, joke-teller, magna-doodle artist, pretender, fort-maker, bath-giver... really, he's the better favorite parent! (And he'll read this and say, "yup, I am." He's not modest.) I'm secretly hoping Graham's a mama's boy, cause there's no hope for Ewan... he's a daddy fan all the way! But I can't blame him, that man is my favorite too. :)

Happy Father's Day! We love you sweetie!

And a big happy father's day to Jeff's dad, who is vacationing at walt disney world right now, and to my dad, who we just saw for lunch today! They're the complete package too, always and endlessly spilling out love for their kids and grandkids. xo!
